I bought two of these to charge my (U.S.) camera and laptop in New Zealand. It takes an unexpected amount of pressure to fit the U.S. plugs into the Sima adapter, I’m not sure why. That’s not really an issue though. The adapters fit into the NZ wall sockets fine.

One of the adapters I bought works well; the other one, however, takes a good amount of fidgeting before any charge passes through it. (It seems like it wants to be weighted so that the prongs in the wall point slightly upward instead of horizontally.) I tried both adapters with different devices and different wall sockets and confirmed that the problem was the adapter, not some other factor. On closer inspection, the other (better) adapter also exhibits the behavior, although to a significantly smaller extent.

That said, both adapters do work. I’m able to situate the fidgety one so that it doesn’t spontaneously interrupt the flow of charge. I’ve been using them for two weeks.

That’s really all that matters. It works, and it’s easy to fit in a bag. Just remember this is only a plug adapter, not a voltage adapter. About the only real negative is that if you have to mix plugs (i.e., if you have a British device that needs to go in a European continental socket) you have to chain pieces of this together, and that’s not very stable.

It’s cool that the plugs can link together for storage, but it falls short on being international – there is no adapter for Australia as was advertised!

I’ve been everywhere with this adapter and have used all the different plugs and have all worked perfectly. Keep in mind if you go to Australia that you need to turn the prongs on the American plug inward – they do shift and will work. Sometimes you’ll also need to stack them.

    I highly recommend this product!

Well my girlfriends Euro trip went well, she had power for her stuff :] … just remember to get a converter as well because their volt output is different.
